A successful AGM! Thank you for joining us!

This past Saturday June 28th, members of the Nanaimo Area Cycling Coalition Society met for their first Annual General Meeting, heard reports, and elected their first full Board of Directors.

All three founding members, Jesse Woodward, Joel Canfield, and Alex Stanciu return, with Phil Hall, Calen May-Tobin, Peter Stary, Charlotte Cavalié, Rebecca Anthony, Danny Hall, Frank Seier, and Caitlin Lepla joining, bringing the board up to a full eleven members.

Joel Canfield was acclaimed President, Phil Hall was acclaimed Vice President, Jesse Woodward was acclaimed Secretary, and Calen May-Tobin was acclaimed Treasurer.

Alex Stanciu, previously Vice President was elected alongside the others noted above to sit as Directors at Large. The new directors bring representation from not only Nanaimo, but also Parksville and Qualicum Beach.

Other members not elected who expressed interest in joining the board will be contacted to join committees once they have been struck by the board of directors.

Draft minutes and reports will be posted to our website in the near future.

After completion of the AGM, members in attendance participated in a strategy session that laid the ground for a formal strategic plan. Many great ideas were brought to the table. The Board of Directors will continue the work of strategic planning in the next year, and once completed, will post the plan to our website.
